The Joy School preschool lesson plans are written for three, four and five year olds. An age variety in a Joy School group is no problem. In fact, it is often an asset as older ones teach and "tutor" younger ones. There are two differnt sets of lesson plans, so children can participate in Joy School for two years in a row.

If you do not consider yourself to be an experienced teacher, or particularly comfortable and natural with children, don't worry. The preschool lesson plans are written so you can follow them easily. Remember that every idea, story, activity, etc. is pre-tested…. We know it works! On the other hand, if you are an experienced teacher, feel free to innovate, adapt, and use your own ideas along with the ones given. A well prepared lesson will make all the difference. These children are very smart and they know when a lesson has been prepared in advance.

When you enroll in Joy School you will receive:

  • On-line access to the Joy School lesson plans: (includes time schedule, stories, pictures, games, music, handouts, and activities for the entire preschool session).
  • Music CDs that correspond to the lesson plan modules (these will be sent to you when you sign up, they are also available to download to your ipod or computer).
